Gastronomic Adventures in Fukuoka and O…
I love Japanese food and Kyushu has its fair share of delectable offerings. Don't worry if you don't have many days to visit all the prefectures in Kyushu to sample their unique dishes - these days, food has transcended all boundaries and especially in the bigger cities, you'd probably be able to find an eatery serving a particular specialty dish from a particular region.
My 6-day travels took me to Fukuoka and Oita Prefecture (Taketa City, Yufuin and Beppu) and I managed to sample a variety of delicious food!
Kyushu is best known to be the home of tonkotsu ramen and what better way to start the trip than with a bowl of piping hot ramen at the Tenjin area in Fukuoka!

Seeking Love in Nagasaki!
Many people knows Nagasaki for a not very pleasant reason, but it's no fault of the city really. However, I have to confess how Nagasaki emerged like a reborn phoenix from a devastated city into a sparkling pearl in the post war era made me captivated!
Hopefully my short post on Nagasaki can share more prominence what this city currently brings. Let us begin from Nagasaki Station!

Kyushu’s sightseeing train is my main d…
Many people dream of one day that they travel in one of many scenic train trips when they visit Japan. It seems strange how a train trip can become so extraordinary that it is, in itself, a tourist destination. What attracts people to these train trips? Speed? Luxury? Or is it just the look of the train? For me, all of these answers are true, and I’m one of those who long for these scenic train trips!

Welcome to Yufuin!
Yufu (City) locates in central Ōita Prefecture and consists of the towns of Hasama, Shōnai and Yufuin which are located in Ōita District.
Yufu is known for its Yufuin Hot Spring, whose throughput of hot springs ranks number 3 in Japan. It have won the championship for “once I want to go hot spring” (一度は行ってみたい温泉地) for ten years. There are many kinds of Japanese hot spring hotels and beautiful landscape attracting lots of Japanese ladies.
A trip to Yufuin is the best birthday present for me this year. It leaves me so many wonderful memories that I will remember the beautiful sea of yellow flowers and the hot spring hotel which is full of human warmth in the mountain in Yufuin.

Beppu; When Going into Hell is a Pleasu…
Hell, a place that no one wants to go, or even to talk about. But, if there is a harmless hell, in fact it can bring so much joy; do you still want to be there? If yes, definitely the only fun hell is Beppu, a middle size city located at the north eastern coast of Kyushu Island. As a coastal city, Beppu has so many things to offer. Its unique beaches would indulge you through the sensation of being buried with tons of black volcanic sands lying on its coastline. If you are seafood addict, Beppu is the right place to enjoy it. Fugu, the blowfish, that is regarded as poisonous fish becomes a worth-trying seafood there. Its abundant produces of fresh seafood ensure your big appetite fulfilled. But, among the good things about Beppu, Onsen, hot spring stands out to be the top attraction of this city. Hundred thousands of people constantly flock here annually for this reason.
In Beppu, onsen brings blessing to many populations. Onsen pools at different size and style could be found easily in local houses, restaurants, and hotels. According to the information released by Beppu City Administration, the number of onsen pools there reaches 2.909. They are steadily supplied by 13.000 tons of hot water, springing up from the deep of earth every day. So, there is no wonder that smokes from the onsen filling the air of Beppu. The city seems to being boiled in very high temperature.
