I have always heard from my friend that there is a “worth to go” onsen at Nakagawa. The name of the Onsen is called Nakagawa Seiryu. When my family visited me in Fukuoka, I brought them to experience it. Since my brother in law was not interested on it, he brought his son to enjoy shopping at Canal City while I brought my mum, sister and my niece to Nakagawa.

Before departing to Onsen, we went to Tenjin for sushi lunch. The restaurant is quite popular as I could see long queue in front of the shop 15 minutes before 11am. Luckily, we arrived early so we got the seat and enjoyed the taste of fresh sashimi. Although it was a bit expensive but they were satisfied with the food.

We went to Hakata after lunch, gentlemen went to Canal city and ladies took the shuttle bus to onsen. Nakagawa Seiryu provides free shuttle bus services for their customers. You can take the bus from Tenjin, Hakata or Ohashi, details of the time schedule can be viewed from their website. The waiting point at Hakata is near to Exit West 9 from Hakata subway station. It was so convenient and it took about 50 minutes to reach.

When we arrived, we were informed that we need to get the private family onsen room because children under 3 years old are not allowed to enter public onsen room. The private family onsen room cost 3000 yen and limited for 50 minutes. It is an outdoor onsen with privacy and nice scenery. My niece really enjoyed the onsen as it just like a warm water swimming pool for her.

The reception called to our room 10 minutes before time’s up to give gentle reminder. So, we packed our stuffs and moved on to lobby for payment. There is also vending machine near to lobby. If you had time, you could enjoy a bottle of milk and sit at the relaxing corner with natural view around it. However, we were in rush to Canal City so we took the shuttle bus immediately after settled payment at reception. We were late for the shuttle bus but the receptionist was so kind to help us called the bus driver to wait for us. I really can feel the nice services provided by them. My family was so satisfied with this onsen experience and everyone of us felt refreshed. If I had chances, I will definitely come back again!
