Oita Prefecture us a veritable hot springs kingdom being home to Beppu which boasts the largest number of springs with the greatest output in all of Japan as well as the famous hot spring resort of Yufuin. A stay in either place will provide pleasures unique to each. In Beppu take the "Beppu Tour of Hell", a visit to 8 uniquely different hot springs.
