The luxury of the wealthy merchants and the houseboat atmosphere

Hita City is the tenryou of the greatest prosperity in Kyushu during the Edo period. There are a lot of wealthy merchants who did a huge fortune, too and the Hina dolls that I ordered from Kyoto Doll Master remains in an old house, too. The representative is the ”Hirose Museum” for the Tenpo year. Published all year, it is the highlight of the Hina Tour course. Many of the dolls that are extravagant are also rare nationwide.

The center of Hina Tour is the town of Mameda-machi and Kuma-machi. In addition to the Hirose Museum, the former merchant Kusano-honke is the highlight. There are a lot of excellent hina dolls from the Edo period to the Meiji era with an old town because it was a center of the culture and the economy. There are a souvenir shop and a traditional craft store, and can enjoy it with the Hina tour. There is also a nice restaurant, perfect for tourists to rest. It can be said that these shops, facilities, and the old House express a sense of presence.
We want to show the exhibition of ”Okiage Hina” which seems to be unusual for tourists from outside the prefecture, especially Kyushu region. The Okiage Hina is said to be a push picture Hina, and it is the one that the common people painted the doll type of the plane instead of the Hina dolls, and wore the costume. These dolls appear not only in Hita but in the Hinamatsuri of Chikugo region. We want to introduce the doll in the luxury game of the wealthy merchant as one of the attractions.

Also, a sightseeing course is indispensable for the hot springs of Hita and the houseboat of Mikumagawa River.  The houseboat on the Mikumagawa River is all year round, and it is an idea to enjoy a full two-hour water feast.
The houseboat is owned by each inn, and the set of the Hina tour and the hot spring/houseboat is popular with the traveler.
In addition, Sapporo Beer Kyushu Hita Factory is popular as a sightseeing course in the vicinity, and there is a hometown of Ontayaki, too. It is close to both the Amagase and the Tsuetate hot springs, and summertime hot springs along the river.
