<Transportation Access>
approx. 40 minutes from Fukuoka IC or Yahata IC of the Kyushu Expressway.
By JR: Get off at Shin-Iizuka Station on the Fukuhoku Yutaka Line and walk for 10 minutes.
By plane: 60 minutes by bus from Fukuoka airport.
Old Ito Den-emon House ”It’s a masterpiece! The zashikibina dolls of the King of Coal Mines”

It is the mansion in which Kyushu’s coal mining king Ito Den-emon Ito” lived. It is also famous for the fact that the niece of Emperor Meiji, the poet and singer Byakuren Yanagiwara, lived here as the wife of Den-emon. Its main room of the size of 20 tatami mats, will be decorated with Japan’s largest-scale installation of zashikibina dolls.
This year’s theme of the zashikibina dolls installation is ”Dreaming of Peace”. With over 1000 dolls and fixtures we reproduce various scenes from the Tale of Genji.

Part two of the popular 2016 project is now here in response to numerous requests!
We promise you an instagrammable atmosphere where you can take commemorative photos with cute cat dolls while wearing cat ears and paws. The large dolls will appear again.

This is a special opening of the Aso Ouraso residence which belonged to the Aso family, one of the three famous and wealthy families of the Chikuho district!
Please enjoy the doll festival held at Aso Ouraso which can only be seen twice a year during the spring and autumn seasons.
Honmachi Shopping Street, ”Hinamatsuri in a Post Town”

In Iizuka’s Honmachi Shopping district
We will decorate the venue with ”original dolls”, the hanging decorations ”sagemon”, and others.
During the period, members of the Honmachi Women’s Association will be wearing red happi coats while greeting the guests.
