Ureshino Onsen

Ureshino Onsen Esthetic Experience (Japanese Only)

Ureshino Onsen prospered as a post town on the Nagasaki Kaido Street in the Edo Period. For its scale and prosperity, people referred to it as “Western Beppu” to compare the city to Beppu, another famous hot spring town in the east of Kyushu.
There are more than 30 inns along Ureshino River, most of which have their hot springs open to non-staying visitors. There are also many public hot springs. “Siebold No Yu” also opened in 2010 as a public hot spring facility to reproduce the original facility designed by a German engineer in 1924. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of a nostalgic western building.
The hot spring quality is sodium hydrogen carbonate. The sticky sodium bicarbonate spring emulsifies and washed away sebum and secretions and your skin feels very smooth after bathing. Ureshino Onsen is counted as one of the “best three skin-beautifying springs in Japan” along with Hinokami Onsen of Shimane and Kitsuregawa Onsen of Tochigi.
Customers of any of the inns in the area will be given a hot spring coupon. With this coupon, you can enjoy any hot springs in the other inns for only 200 Yen. Ureshino Onsen has long been loved as a hot spring town. This is the best place to enjoy skin-beautifying hot springs while feeling the historical atmosphere.

RECOMMENDATION COMMENTS

River Lee

Taiwan

Japan’s countryside is very charming, and it captivates my heart. Ureshino onsen, which is said to have a history dating back to about 200AD, is a truly quiet onsen tourist spot. Considering its long history, it is wonderful how many buildings and sceneries are preserved. Soaking in the bath makes the skin so silky! I sincerely think it is a great place.
