Yakushima was the first place in Japan to be registered as a World Natural Heritage site. Tanegashima Island is famous as the place where firearms were first introduced in Japan. Iki Island and Tsushima Island are strikingly different from each other. The Amami Islands are a treasure trove of rare wildlife in a subtropical climate. Each island has its own appeal, such as the Koshiki Islands, where you'll find many popular spots for fishing and diving.

Tsushima, Iki, Goto-Archipelago

Tsushima Island
Located approximately 50 kilometers from South Korea, Tsushima Island was historically the gateway to Japan for the arrival of culture from the Continent.
Iki Island
Iki Island is a low-lying, nearly circular island with a rich natural environment, resting on the Genkai Sea.
Goto Archipelago
About 140 islands are scattered over an area about 100 kilometers west of Nagasaki. This area is designated as Saikai National Park and is blessed with the abundance of nature.
