An everlasting summer resort of shining sun and blue sea, it's bathed in the air of a southern land and the magic of a mythical world.
The Nichinan Coast National Park provides a scenic drive that perfectly represents Kyushu. Here you can enjoy the brilliant rays of the sun as well as the sparkling, deep-blue sea. There's also Takachiho, where the legendary myth thrives. It's very popular throughout the south, as in Cape Toi, where you can see wild horses, and visit the international resort Seagaia.

Oni-no-Sentakuita (Ogre's Washboard)
The only place in Japan where you can see a series of wavelike rocks. The renowned Aoshima Island surrounded is home to these fascinating formations.
Cape Toi
A cape at the southern end of the Nichinan Coast National Park. About 120 misakiuma wild horses, designated as national natural treasures, live here just as they have for centuries.
Umagase
A columnar jointing cliff perpendicular to the sea. The headland of the cape is a thin, narrow land form that resembles a horse's back.
Aoshima Onsen
The perfect location, it faces the Hyuga Sea from nearly all the baths at the area's inns. Many representative sightseeing spots can be found nearby.
Tour of Shochu Breweries
In Nagasaki Prefecture there are various breweries that make shochu from sweet potatoes, wheat, rice and buckwheat. Some of them offer tastings and brewery tours.
Phoenix Seagaia Resort
You can experience a relaxing time in the world's largest indoor water park, along with various other offerings, or relax in a hot spring.
Nichinan Coast National Park
A scenic drive that stretches 110 kilometers from Aoshima Island to Cape Toi, it offers numerous points where you can savor the beauty of nature.
Jidori Dishes
Miyazaki Jidori (Miyazaki chicken) was created by breeding the domestic species “Jitokko." It's characterized by a properly resilient texture.
