Business Hotels:

Business hotels in Kyushu primarily target Japanese business men (hence the name) and are consequently often found in convenient spots close to train or bus stations to make commuting easier. Most business hotels are relatively cheap as they offer a no-frills approach.

A single-room will typically cost between 5,000 - 10,000 yen a night, with most rooms fitted with a television, air conditioner, telephone, Wi-Fi access and other hotel amenities such as shampoo and toothpaste. "


Ryokan / Japanese Inn:

Ryokan are traditional Japanese style inns that can be found throughout Kyushu. Often located in hot spring resorts, ryokan offer the typical Japanese hospitality experience, with each inn providing tatami floors, futon beds and delicious hand-made local dishes.

The average ryokan will cost anywhere between 15,000 and 35,000 yen per person each night. However, there are plenty of inns that offer a more luxurious form of accommodation, with spectacular open-air bath facilities either on site or attached to your room for private use.

Ryokan are a relaxing and time-honoured way of enjoying hospitality in Kyushu.

Bed and Breakfast

Bed and Breakfast (minshuku):

Offering a fantastic opportunity to meet local families and experience everyday Japanese life, these Japanese style bed and breakfasts are referred to as minshuku. Minshuku, typically costing around 5,000 – 10,000 yen per person each night, provide convenient ryokan style accommodation.
